Curious by Nature, Inspired by Connection.
Hi, I’m Donicka.
I believe that people do the best they can with the understanding, experiences and resources they have at the time.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been curious about people, their stories, the experiences that shape them, and the unique ways they see and experience the world. That interest has guided both my personal journey and professional path.
Along this path, I’ve come to recognize the importance of a felt sense of connection—that moment when something resonates, aligns, or simply clicks through a conversation, experience, or idea. These are often the moments that invite us to take notice and wonder about the meaning they may hold for us in our lives.
Life is a succession of moments to learn from, move through and get excited about.
My Approach
My work is grounded in an existential and somatic perspective, recognizing that our thoughts, emotions, physical sensations and lived experiences are deeply interconnected.
Together, we’ll explore what is happening in your life and how you are experiencing it. We’ll bring awareness to these experiences to uncover the beliefs, patterns and deeper meaning that may be influencing the ways you relate to yourself and the world around you.
As your awareness deepens, possibilities emerge. For awareness is where change begins. Through experience, reflection, and conscious choice, we can begin to respond to life differently rather than simply repeating familiar patterns.
Life can only be understood backwards, but it must be lived forwards.
— Søren Kierkegaard
My Professional Journey
Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked across community agencies, educational settings, and private practice. These experiences have deepened my understanding of people and their unique experiences.
What has remained consistent throughout these experiences is our desire to be seen, understood, and to experience a sense of belonging. This understanding has influenced my approach and reinforced the value of connection within the therapeutic relationship.
