My Approach
I am relational and process-focused in my style of supervision, similar to how I work with clients. Collaboration and relationships are essential to effective supervision and clinical work. I value the reciprocal exchange of learning and growing that occurs in supervision. I hold deep respect for the unique experiences and wisdom each individual brings. My supportive and reflective style reflects a trauma-informed care approach to supervision.
It’s in reflection that we meet the deeper parts of our work and ourselves. -Anonymous
My Experiences
My 18 years of combined experience as a Therapist, Supervisor, College Professor, and Child and Youth Practitioner have taught me the importance of considering the client's needs from a holistic and trauma-informed perspective.
I have extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families and have learned that authentic engagement is about being present, genuine, and curious when building relationships. Further to this, the importance of maintaining healthy boundaries, committing to new learning and Professional Development, engaging in reflective practice, and discussion about ethical practice is essential to effective and competent practice as Therapists. Our work is truly a privilege to uphold.
